The whiteness and brightness are calling me out for my daily walk, the drive is shoveled, I have rested some & not is the time to return to this wintery mix! Oh how I long for the green green zoysia of the summer!

Allow me to personally welcome you to this blog. Here I want to interact and share information with individuals that are adamant about the Zoysia Grass that they are propagating in their yards and neighborhoods whether they be northern or southern growers, we have the right idea to save both our time and resources. With new and improved varieties available regularly a place and a forum to share those would be helpful. Regardless of the part of the country that you live in deciding on Zoysia is one that will stay with you for as long as you live in your home. As Zoysia lovers.com would encourage you to make the best decision for you, your lot, and the environment, you need to consider the facts carefully. One of the first facts deals with cost and in many parts of the country this is a major expense, yards are expensive and a Zoysia lawn is no exception. Having a good understanding of not just the up-front cost but also the value of your time and effort or someone else's time and effort neither of which are free of course. Many of you may be familiar with the term ROI or Return On Investment and just like being in the stock market or owning your own business there is a level of ROI when it comes to your yard.

Perhaps you would rather be out mowing your regular grass sweeting in the hot sun than finishing up a round of golf and headed for the club house. I can't say for you, I know that I would rather be headed for the 19th green after having walked on the zoysia fairways that someone else had cared for, cut, and fed. Spending money on greens fees is more desirable to me than paying someone to mow, fertilize and mow and fertilize and mow and fertilize...Basically, what I am saying here is that there are costs and then there are COSTS. Remember to look further and see those hidden long term COSTS
